Having left a successful consulting career in the 1990s to pursue her passion for interior design, Tamara Magel worked for a number of prestigious design companies including Sotheby's and Ralph Lauren before creating Tamara Magel Home, Inc. in 2000. Based in New York, NY and Washington D.C. Tamara received her B.S. from Boston University’s School of Management and a degree in Interior Design from the Corcoran School of Art.

and alters home accessories throughout the year. Having already created a number of custom furniture lines, the natural next step was to delve into home and fashion accessories. Inspired by runway couture, her vision was to bring fashion into furniture and vice versa.
This year, Tamara launched her “gothic luxury” line, which merges luxurious textiles such as upholstery leather, mohair and cashmere with fashion-inspired icons and a variety of embellishments such as embroidery and metalwork.
